Hi everyone - we're still in packing phase, and enjoying the slower pace. Things are really coming together! I've been emailing with a family in Ottawa who arrived in Almaty a couple of days ago and will hopefully meet their little one tomorrow. We're thinking of ya Pam and Grev! Pam has mentionned a few other Canadian families who are adopting from Almaty right now, and we're looking forward to meeting everyone!
We've also confirmed our house-sitter, which is wonderful. Nick will be at the house and keeping our cat entertained, I'm sure! Thanks a lot Nick, it is a huge load off our minds to know you'll be at the house!

Congrats on your upcoming trip! How exciting! We are from Toronto and adopted our son from Almaty Region (Karakastek BH) 2 years ago. Spent 9 weeks in Almaty. It is a wonderful city......a cultural experience! Sounds like you will have lots of Canadian company - how cool! 'Almost' makes me want to go back :-) We are going to have to arrange an anuual Canadian/Kaz get together!
